During the Bible Distribution God showed his wonder working power. All of the muscles in this man’s body ached. After prayer, the pain was gone. This young child had a stomach sickness. After prayer, the child’s stomach was healed. Since birth this girl was a slower learner and listener. After prayer, she was able to respond quickly. Praise God!
RECEIVING A PRECIOUS GIFT
They have been waiting and praying for years. Holding on to hope. Trusting God. Some day, maybe, ….they held on to faith. God is a loving provider. He is all powerful. He can do it. Finally, the day arrived! The day they hoped for, prayed for ….. the day they get a Bible! Getting up off of the floor where they sleep in their home, they get ready for church. They put on the best of their two sets of clothes, if they are fortunate enough to have that much. The walk to church goes fast. So much to praise God for today! At church you can feel the excitement in the air. It is time! The stack of Bibles is right there! They line up and one by one, the Bible is handed to them. They stop and wait for a picture to be taken. The Bible, right in their hands! The feel of it. The smell of it. Oh! Praise God! They get to take home their very own Bible, the word of God, their faithful God! Thank you, sweet Jesus! With a sheet for a roof, it gets very dusty in their home, especially when they are making the bricks daily not far from their homes. Every day they dust off of their Bible. Oh! If they just had a tissue or napkin like the rich to clean it off with! They take damp, clean cloth and carefully, lovingly dust off of their very own Bible; God’s holy, personal gift to them. This is a gift to be treasured for the rest of their lives.
